THEFT OF NATURAL GAS
Thieves will steal anything, even natural gas. In the utility industry, "theft of service" means tampering with or bypassing a meter in order to receive utility service free of charge.
When people steal service from a utility, they are stealing from every conscientious customer, because theft of service leads to increased rates and fees. Not only is gas theft illegal, it's also very dangerous and tampering with meters and pipes can result in serious personal injury and damge.
Help us stop utility thieves. If you suspect someone is stealing natural gas, please call a UGI Central Penn Gas customer service representatives at 1-800-652-0550 to report it. All calls are kept strictly confidential.
